Air Canada Aeroplan last week announced a new airline partner in Europe called SunExpress (read more here), and now there is another that just came online in Asia.
Bamboo Airways and Air Canada have launched a frequent flier partnership that allows Aeroplan members to earn and redeem miles on Bamboo Airways flights and vice versa.
You can access Air Canada’s list of partner airlines here.
Note that you can earn Aeroplan award miles on all Bamboo Airways flights (check fare class exclusion) except between Asia and North America. You cannot earn elite qualifying miles on their flights, however.
You can use Aeroplan miles on Bamboo Airways flights and mix and match with other Aeroplan partner airlines.

Conclusion
Bamboo Airways was founded just before the pandemic began in 2019, and I flew with them twice in business this past May between Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc.
The airline’s extremely aggressive expansion plan has already led to some issues. It remains to be seen how sustainable their business model is against the flag carrier (Vietnam Airlines – a SkyTeam member).
Also, Vietnam is somewhat off the map for many visitors in Asia, as a visa is required for many nationals. It is an exciting destination, however.
