Air France La Premiere Access Limited To Flying Blue Platinum & Ultimate Members Effective January 1, 2022

Air France -KLM’s Flying Blue made an announcement that affects program members who redeem their miles for Air France’s La Premiere (first class) cabin.

The access to La Premiere awards is limited to Flying Blue Platinum and Ultimate members, effective January 1, 2023. Also, there is a maximum of ONE award seat made available in this cabin.

The La Premiere mileage requirements are very high.

Conclusion

I have looked into using my Flying Blue miles for a one-way La Premiere flight, but I have never got it to work.

The number of miles required for La Premier is usually at least triple or quadruple compared to business, and difficult to justify this beyond wanting to check out the product.

Limiting the cabin awards to only Flying Blue Platinum and Ultimate may make them slightly more accessible for these select members to redeem.
