Alaska Airlines has a new airline partner Papeete, French Polynesia, based Air Tahiti Nui.

Mileage Plan members can earn miles on Air Tahiti Nui’s flights effective April 1, 2022, and awards are promised later in the sping, but knowing Alaska, this could well be in 2023.

You can access Alaska’s page for Air Tahiti Nui here.

You won’t earn miles on Air Tahiti’s domestic and Cook Island flights (a different airline).

Conclusion

Air Tahiti Nui has a minimal route network. It flies to Paris via Los Angeles, Tokyo in Japan (suspended), and Auckland in New Zealand (suspended).

It has been a partner with American Airlines AAdvantage for years, and you can have Air Tahiti Nui’s flights as part of Oneworld’s select RTW fares, although on QF code.

Air Tahiti Nui plans to begin flying to Seattle in the fall and hence this partnership with Alaska Airlines, which can provide it with much-needed connectivity.

Let’s see when you can redeem Mileage Plan miles for Air Tahiti Nui’s flights. These are often significantly delayed with Alaska what is promised at launch.
