ANA, All Nippon Airways, has launched an offer for Mileage Club members who live or have their account address outside of Japan.
Eligible Mileage Club members earn a 50% bonus on Premium Points that are used to determine one status for flights flown April 25 – December 31, 2022.
You can access this offer on ANA’s website here.
Information From ANA:
< Overview of the Campaign >
[Eligible Boarding Period]
From April 25 to December 31, 2022
All ANA-operated international flights
* Codeshare flights operated by other airlines under an ANA flight number and Japan domestic sectors contained in international flight tickets are not eligible.
[Eligible Classes / Fares]
All classes, all fares
ANA Mileage Club members who reside outside Japan and board eligible flights during the eligible boarding period
* Customers whose registered address with the ANA Mileage Club is outside Japan at the time of Bonus Premium Point Accrual are eligible.
It states that domestic ANA segments that are part of international tickets are not eligible for the bonus. Whatabout standalone domestic flights? These appear to be eligible.
There is a complicated formula to determine the number of Premium Points you earn from ANA flights. However, you can find a Premium Points simulator on ANA’s website to help you with it (access here).
Both ANA and JAL have been less frequent flier friendly regarding status extensions than their western counterparts.
Not sure how many ANA frequent fliers can use this offer, as Japan stays closed for international non-business visitors, and those allowed to enter require a visa?
