Brazil Requires Face Mask At Airports & Onboard Aircraft From November 25, 2022

Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has made a decision trying to combat a new wave of Covid-19 infections in the country.

You must wear a face mask at airports and onboard aircraft, effective November 25, 2022.

Announcement from Anvisa:

Anvisa decided, in a meeting of the Collegiate Board held yesterday (11/22), to determine the mandatory use of masks on aircraft and airports in the country. The requirement is resumed due to the current epidemiological scenario. The measure begins to be valid on Friday (25/11).

Conclusion

I would say that compliance with wearing a mask will be close to 100% at airports in Brazil, based on my personal experience.

Previously, you were required to wear one from the security check to enter the boarding area.

The current president tried very hard to sabotage the country’s response to Covid-19, but apparently, voters disagreed with his approach, and he lost the recent elections.
