IHG is about to lose its flagship Key West property, Crowne Plaza La Concha, which is set to join Marriott Autograph Collection in December 2022.
The hotel’s owner, Ashford Hospitality Trust, already announced back in 2019 (read more here) that La Concha would join Marriott’s Autograph Collection by July 31, 2022.

Marriott Rate Search for Key West:
La Concha hotel appears under the Autograph Collection brand and states it will “Open Soon December 2022”.
You cannot, however, book it on any date. There is no availability loaded on Marriott’s website.
IHG La Concha Availability:
Weirdly, there is availability for Crowne Plaza La Concha for all future dates on IHG’s website.
The award availability is loaded for all future dates when standard room availability exists.
Conclusion
This would not be a big deal, as hotels often change flags, but hotels exiting IHG are not required to honor any award stays, and IHG provides zero support, as we recently reported (read more here).
It seems very unlikely that award reservations made for this hotel past December 2022 are honored. The paid ones usually are, but you will then enjoy possible Marriott elite benefits and earning Bonvoy points and elite qualifying nights, as IHG ones end on the reflag date.
