Delta SkyMiles & Starbucks Rewards Partnership: Earn 500 Bonus Miles & 150 Stars For Linking Accounts By December 31, 2022
Delta and Starbucks have launched a new partnership that allows you to earn SkyMiles for Starbucks spending and double Stars on days when you fly.
There is also a signup bonus of 500 miles and 150 Stars if you link your Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts by December 31, 2022.
You earn 1 SkyMiles for every $ spent at Starbucks.
There is no downside to linking Delta and Starbucks accounts and earning SkyMiles for your Starbucks spending.
Benefits pursuant to this offer are limited to individuals who (a) have enrolled as members of both the SkyMiles program and Starbucks Rewards program and (b) linked their SkyMiles account and their Starbucks Rewards accounts on DeltaStarbucks.com (a “Linked Account”). You can only link one Starbucks Rewards account with one SkyMiles member account.
Mileage Offer on Starbucks purchases:
Linked Account members will earn 1 mile per $1 USD (excluding dollars spent toward taxes and tips) of Qualifying Purchases. “Qualifying Purchase” means any purchase at a Participating Starbucks Store of food, beverage(s), and/or merchandise, excluding purchases of alcoholic beverages, Starbucks Card eGifts and physical Starbucks gift cards (“Starbucks Cards”) . Qualifying Purchases must be made (a) using a linked payment method or preloaded Starbucks Card registered to your Starbucks Rewards account , or (b) by scanning your barcode located in the Starbucks mobile app prior to completing checkout. “Participating Starbucks Stores” are Starbucks locations where a Starbucks Rewards member can earn Stars (as defined in the Starbucks Rewards Terms of Use).
Double Stars on Delta Travel Days:
Linked Account members will earn double Stars on all Qualifying Purchases on Delta Travel Days. On Double Stars on Delta Travel Days, Linked Account members will earn (a) 4 Stars for every $1 USD (excluding dollars spent toward taxes and tips) spent on Qualifying Purchases when paying with a preloaded Starbucks Card registered to their Starbucks Rewards account; (b) 2 Stars per $1 USD (excluding dollars spent toward taxes and tips) spent on Qualifying Purchases when paying with a credit card, debit card or mobile wallet linked to your Starbucks Rewards account; and (c) 2 Stars for every $1 USD (excluding dollars spent towards taxes and tips) spent on Qualifying Purchases when they scan their barcode located in the Starbucks mobile app and then pay with cash, credit card, debit card, or select mobile wallets at the register at Participating Starbucks Stores. “Delta Travel Days” means the period starting 12:01AM and ending at Midnight on the local departure date of a Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight for which the Linked Account member has included their SkyMiles number in the itinerary; provided that if there are multiple connecting segments with a layover in such itinerary, or if the itinerary continues beyond a single 24-hour period, then the Delta Travel Day will be deemed to be the departure date of the of the first segment of the itinerary. Delta flights booked within 48 hours prior to the time of the scheduled departure will not be deemed to be a Delta Travel Day and you will not be eligible to earn this Double Stars offer under such itinerary.
Account Linking Bonus:
Linked Account members who link their SkyMiles account and Starbucks Rewards account through DeltaStarbucks.com between October 12, 2022 and December 31, 2022, will earn (a) 500 miles and (b) if you make a Qualifying Purchase, 150 Stars. Miles will be deposited into your SkyMiles account within 10 business days of linking SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts, and Stars will be deposited in your Starbucks Rewards account within 2 business days] of the latter to occur of: (i) the date you link your SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts or (ii) the date of your first Qualifying Purchase.
By linking your SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and you agree that Starbucks and Delta may share your information (including, for the avoidance of doubt, Delta flight information) for the purpose of tracking and processing your miles into your SkyMiles account and Stars into your Starbucks Rewards account and sending you targeted offers. Yes. Stars are added to your account within 2 business days after you complete a qualifying activity and expire six (6) months after the calendar month in which such Stars were earned. For example, if you earn Stars on December 15, 2022, they will expire on July 1, 2023.
Do I have to do anything on the Starbucks or FlyDelta app once I’ve linked my accounts?
No additional action is required once you’re linked. When you complete qualifying activities you will automatically earn miles and Stars. The Starbucks and FlyDelta apps can be used to track your Star and mile activity.
Is there a cap on the number of Miles or Stars I can earn through this partnership?
No. The sky is the limit! Once your accounts are actively linked, mileage and Star earning potential is unlimited.
How do I earn Stars with the Starbucks Rewards program?

What is a Delta Travel Day?
As a linked member, the Delta Travel Day is when you are eligible to earn Double Stars at Starbucks. Specifically, it is from 12:01 AM to midnight on the departure date of a Delta-marketed or Delta-operated flight. If you have connecting Delta flights with a layover between, or if your Delta travel itinerary continues beyond a single 24-hour period, then on the departure day of your itinerary will be considered a Delta Travel Day. To earn Double Stars, you must purchase the flight at least 48 hours prior to departure. Additionally, you must include your SkyMiles number when you book your flight to qualify for double Stars.
What if I’m flying a red eye, when will I be able to earn Stars?
You can earn your Double Stars from 12:01 AM to midnight on your departure day only. If you have connecting Delta flights with a layover between, or if your Delta itinerary continues beyond a single 24-hour period, then on the departure day of your itinerary will be considered a Delta Travel Day.
Do I earn Starbucks Stars for Delta purchases?
No, your Star earn is only tied to Starbucks purchases.
Do I need to notify Starbucks that I’m traveling with Delta?
No, nothing is needed from you. Once you’ve linked your accounts, your Double Stars will be automatically applied, as long as your SkyMiles number is included in your Delta flight itinerary.
Can I redeem my Stars in the same transaction?
No, Stars are not eligible to be redeemed in the same transaction.
