IHG British Airways 1,000 Bonus Avios Per Stay Through August 31, 2022

IHG and British Airways have launched a new offer for stays through August 31, 2022, that allows Executive Club members to earn 1,000 bonus Avios on each stay.

You must book a specific rate for a minimum two-night stay and have IHG One Rewards earning preference set to BA Avios.

Note that you must have your IHG One Rewards earning preference set to partner points AND have British Airways Executive Club chosen as the preferred one.

You earn the 1,000 bonus Avion on top of the base miles you earn for the stay. Unfortunately, you cannot earn both IHG One Rewards points and Avios simultaneously.

Rate Check:

You must book the rate that indicates 1,000 bonus miles for the stay. However, it doesn’t appear to be one of those Bonus Miles Packages with a wildly inflated rate.

Conclusion

The bonus Avios rate can be the lowest if there are no other rate promotions around or you don’t qualify for other discounts.

The 1,000 bonus Avios are worth perhaps 10 GBP. I would not go out of my way to earn these over IHG One Rewards points with their summer promotion for up to quadruple points (read more here).

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

1. This British Airways Executive Club Avios promotion (the “Promotion”) is available to those who are members of both IHG One Rewards and British Airways Executive Club the “Eligible Member”).
2. The Promotion allows Eligible Members to earn 1,000 Bonus Avios per Two Night Qualifying Stay at InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Regent® Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo®, HUALUXE® Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Holiday Inn Club Vacations® and Holiday Inn Resort®, EVEN®, voco™,Vignette™Collection, Atwell Suites™, avid™, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites® hotels. Bonus Avios are awarded in addition to base Avios.
3. Eligible bookings for this Promotion must be made from 31 May, 2022 to 31 August, 2022 with a check-in date on or after 31 May, 2022 and check-out on or before 31 August, 2022. Maximum Avios award is 15,000 Avios during this Promotion.
4. British Airways Executive Club members need to register as an IHG One Rewards member, and select British Airways as their earning preference located in their IHG One Rewards My Account prior to check-in.
5. Eligible bookings must be made through official British Airways channel or via the following link ihg.com/babonus at participating IHG® Hotels and Resorts.
6. Rooms are available at participating InterContinental Hotels Group hotels in select destinations around the world. Rates are limited and subject to availability. Promotion available at participating hotels only.
7. Rate details may vary by region and by participating hotel. Any unused components of the rate are non-refundable. No retroactive base Avios or bonus Avios will be awarded for nights stayed prior to IHG® One Rewards enrolment or Promotion enrolment. Blackout dates may apply. Rates are per room, per night, and extra person charges and rollaway bed charges may apply. Other restrictions may apply. Rates do not include taxes, gratuities, or incidental charges, including food and beverages.
8. A stay is one or more consecutive nights at the same hotel regardless of frequency of check-in/checkout.
9. In case that two or more than two Eligible Members check-in the same one room at the same time, Avios will only be credited to the same account of one of such members who made the booking.
10. Eligible Avios will be deposited to the Eligible Member’s British Airways Executive account in 4-6 weeks.
11. If any Eligible Member is found conducting fraud or misusing regarding this Promotion, IHG One Rewards has the full right and discretion to withdraw the rewards to such Eligible Member or even close the IHG One Rewards account of such Eligible Member.
12. IHG One Rewards reserves the right to, at any time, and with or without the prior notification, cancel, terminate or amend the Promotion or these terms.
13. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion and has no cash value.
