They have offered various fast-track offers, and the most recent we covered last week was for a Gold and Platinum status (read more here), but there is an even better one for a Diamond!

IHG One Rewards members outside of Greater China (mainland, Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan) can sign up for an instant Diamond status through December 31, 2022. They can extend it through the end of 2023 by staying 10 nights during the offer period.

This is an outstanding offer – Straight To Diamond or more like Taste of Diamond, considering that you need to consume 10 nights in less than three months to keep it through the end of 2023.
The Ambassador sign-up offer extends your status through the end of 2023 (read more here), but I am not sure if it also applies in a “Straight To Diamond” situation.
The main benefit of the Diamond status is the complimentary hot breakfast for two that you can choose as a welcome amenity.
Suite upgrades and lounge access at eligible properties is a Milestone Rewards option that doesn’t come with the Diamond status (depends on consumed NIGHTS) that IHG appears to be giving out relatively quickly.
