IHG One Rewards Turkish Airlines 1,000 Bonus Miles&Smiles Miles September 1 – December 31, 2022

IHG has now launched the offer for 1,000 bonus miles with Turkish Airlines that they have launched with several other airlines over the past few months.

Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles members earn 1,000 bonus miles for each stay of two nights or longer that are both booked and consumed between September 1 – December 31, 2022.

Note that you must change your IHG One Rewards earning preference to partner miles/points and have Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles set as the preferred one.

You must choose the Miles and Smiles Bonus Miles rate from the drop-down menu and book the associated rate. There is a maximum of 15,000 bonus miles that you can earn from this offer.

The bonus miles rate is lower than Best Flexible (Advance Saver) but excludes Member Exclusive Rate.

Conclusion

You should elect to earn hotel points rather than airline miles with most programs, but miles may occasionally make sense if there is a good promo out. I would instead take advantage of all IHG points promos and then convert to an airline partner at a later date.

• The Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles 1,000 Miles promotion (“Promotion”) is available to individuals who are members of both the IHG One Rewards program and the Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles program (“Eligible Member”). Under the Promotion, 1,000 Miles&Smiles Miles are awarded to Eligible Members for each Qualifying Stay at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts during the Promotion Period where the stay was reserved through an eligible booking and consists of at least two (2) consecutive nights. An Eligible Member may earn up to a maximum of 15,000 Miles in connection with this Promotion. The time needed for awarding Miles can vary with each Miles promotion, so please allow up to 6 weeks for the Miles to be posted to the designated account.
• Eligible bookings are those made at participating IHG® Hotels and Resorts through the official Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles booking page. Only bookings and stays made between 1 September 2022 to 31 December 2022 inclusively (the “Promotional Period”) for Qualifying Stays of at least two (2) consecutive nights, qualify as an eligible booking under the Promotion. Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles members need to be registered as an IHG One Rewards member, and select Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles as their earning preference located in their IHG One Rewards My Account, prior to check-in.
• Qualifying Stays are stays booked under a qualifying rate. Note that multiple checkouts for consecutive nights at the same hotel will count as one (1) Qualifying Stay; non-consecutive qualifying nights at the same hotel may count as separate Qualifying Stays. In the event that two or more Eligible Members check-in to the same room, base Miles and any Miles under this Promotion will only be credited to the account of the Eligible Member who made the booking. No Miles will be awarded under this Promotion based on nights stayed prior to or after the Promotion Period.
• Room types and rates may vary by region and by hotel and are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply. Any unused components of a rate are non-refundable. Rates are per room, per night, and extra person charges and rollaway bed charges may apply. Rates do not include taxes, gratuities, or incidental charges, including food and beverages. The use of certain rates may be subject to applicable agreements(s). Any misuse of such rates is considered a fraud activity under the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions.
