InterContinental Bangkok closed for renovations in May 2022, and, as we noted earlier this month (read more here), it began accepting reservations from June 1st this year.
They have sent out an email blast to guests who have stayed at this property (I perhaps 20+ times), and I cannot wait to return in three weeks.

Conclusion
This is undoubtedly one of the better InterContinental hotels, and the club lounge is fantastic.
I was there when the previous refurbishment started, and the entire lobby was suddenly cordoned off one morning.
It is interesting to see what they have done with the bathrooms, part they hardly touched during the previous soft refurb. You could tell that they were from the different era from the rooms/suites.
The opening rates are a bit on the high side, but Bangkok is a very competitive market, and the price will eventually settle to the correct levels (hotels tend to open high, and prices come down slowly to find a sustainable level).
