Qantas Frequent Flyer Elite Members Get Accor ALL Gold

Qantas & Accor have launched an offer that allows Frequent Flier program members with Silver or higher status to get Accor Live Limitless (ALL) Gold status through the end of 2023.

Accor and Qantas announced a partnership in 2020 (read more here) that was rolled out in 2021 (read more here). It is similar to the one Accor has with Flying Blue (read more here) that allows earning both airline miles and ALL points for flights and stays.

Note that eligible members must register for this offer by August 12 after linking their Qantas and Accor accounts.

The status on the ALL accounts is upgraded within four weeks after the end of this offer, and it should be valid through 2023.

You must remember that ALL Gold benefits are somewhat limited, and your main advantages are earning more points for stays and welcome drinks. Room upgrades and early and late checkouts are all based on availability.

Accor ALL Gold status allows members to earn points for Qantas flights.

You can also buy Accor ALL Gold status by subscribing to an ibis Business card that costs less than 100 euros per year.

Conclusion

The Accor Gold benefits are weak but better than having none at all.

You may get an early and late checkout that can be worthwhile and otherwise expensive. Just remind that these are based on availability and courtesy of the hotel.

Why not offer Qantas status for ALL elite members?

Reward points will be earned in addition to Qantas Points and Status Credits. Points will be calculated based on eligible spend. Eligible spend is the price paid for the seat including fare and carrier charges, but excluding government imposed taxes or optional fees such as seats, bags, upgrades. Eligible flights are any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Qantas Points are normally earned.    To earn 3 Qantas Points per A$1 spent on eligible hotel stays at participating Asia-Pacific Accor properties, ensure your Qantas Frequent Flyer account is linked to your ALL – Accor Live Limitless account prior to your stay. Stays must be booked directly with Accor (via Accor websites, Accor booking office and hotels) or travel agencies connected automatically to the Accor booking office. • Guaranteed room availability

• Excludes villas, one-of-a-kind suites, speciality suites and presidential suites. If unavailable, the hotel will seek to allocate you an enhanced room in your current room category i.e. a higher floor, more desirable view, corner room or better amenities. At Fairmont, an upgrade is not applicable to Fairmont Gold Floor. Raffles upgrades are available up to the Junior Suite category. This upgrade does not apply to ibis, ibis budget, ibis Styles, Adagio Access brands or any hotel which does not have varying room types.
