United Airlines has today confirmed what the MileagePlus program Premier qualification requirements and program changes for 2023 are.
There are no longer those nasty fees to redeposit canceled award tickets, and you can earn Premier Qualifying Flight (PQF) and Premier Qualifying Points (PQP) on award tickets (United metal only).

The downside is that the qualification requirements in 2023 are higher than in 2022:

Nothing surprising here.
Although you could say that, I am surprised that neither Delta nor United decided to go all in with partner programs like what American did with its elite qualification.
These changes have no effect on me personally, as I qualified for lifetime Premier Gold when programs were merged (United & Continental).
