Emirates on Friday decided to extend member tiers and miles expiry further, and perhaps for the last time.
Skywards Platinum, Gold, and Silver tiers expiring until May 2022 are extended by 12 months, and miles expiry pushed to August 31, 2022.
You can access the Emirates page for tier extensions here.

Conclusion
The sensible decision from Emirates to extend both member tiers and Skywards miles expiry. I believe that this might be the last extension, as the world is opening up except for specific markets.
Let’s see if they run double-tier miles offers in 2022 as they have done previously.
