Marriott has several brands that are non-Bonvoy participating, and there are some exclusions even within participating brands, such as Ritz-Carlton Singapore (you cannot earn or redeem points or get any elite benefits).
One of the properties of non-participating brand extensions has decided to become Marriott Bonvoy participating for earning and redeeming points.

St. Regis hotels are Marriott Bonvoy participating, but their residences are not, except this one in Deer Valley.
Here’s the update from Marriott:
A. The Residences at The St. Regis Deer Valley, Snow Park participates in the Loyalty Program as follows:
(1) Earn Points or Miles as described in Section 2
(2) Redeem Points as described in Section 3
(3) Members receive benefits as defined in Section 4 except for the following: Complimentary Enhanced Room Upgrades, Late Checkout, Suite Night Awards, and Your24™.
Conclusion
I am sure that they don’t mind you redeeming Bonvoy points at this one St. Regis Residence, which has now become participating when a “free” night will end up costing million+ after the dynamic awards kick in next month.
Nevertheless, good option to earn plenty of Marriott Bonvoy points for those who end up booking a paid residence.
